SecTeer is seeking a proven, creative, and results-driven technical sales engineer to win business at the IT operational and management level. Selected applicants will drive SecTeer’s unique technology across a wide array of industries, sectors, organisations, and market segments. Technical sales engineers are the critical point of contact for clients, answering queries, providing professional advice and introducing new products, increasing product awareness and providing solutions for one of security’s latest and most pervasive security threats. Charged with converting qualified leads into won business, this is a high-visibility role within SecTeer and is critical to the organisation’s success. Qualified applicants must possess a customer-centric focus and demonstrate a history of quota attainment.

Are you the one?


  • 5+ years of demonstrated success as a business-to-business sales representative in a technology field, preferably SaaS sales.
  • Strong desire to work in a cybersecurity startup, the founders, will provide mentorship, product knowledge, and unlimited opportunity for advancement.
  • You have a demonstrated track record of prospecting over 50 calls per day, an ability to communicate effectively and persuasively via phone and email.
  • You are organised, goal-oriented and metrics driven. You are technologically savvy and quick to learn new concepts.
  • Self-starter, goal-oriented, able to work with a high degree of autonomy and deliver measurable results by employing skills including cold-calling, lead generation, and prospecting qualified decision makers.
  • You have a hunger for knowledge and the desire to grow in your role and the company.
  • Experience using Zoho CRM or similar tool is a plus.
  • New biz sales – Develop and manage initial business relationships through outbound prospecting calls, inbound leads, email marketing program
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated success with meeting/exceeding Sales Quotas.
  • Demonstrated success with leveraging multiple communications channels (email, web, social media,) in a sales campaign.
  • Experience in selling Information Security, Vendor Risk, and Vulnerability Intelligence solutions to businesses is preferred.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills in English – (German as a 2nd language is a plus)

  • Initiate the sales process on all levels
  • Pitch and create Value on how SecTeer and it’s partners capabilities will help them solve their challenges through Vulnerability and Security Patch Management product capabilities
  • Stay on top of leads through the sales process, tracking your progress in our CRM tool and reporting back on the status of your sales pipeline.
  • Work with your colleagues to exchange market intel and discuss selling strategies, build and target accounts within a defined territory. You are also comfortable working independently to surpass your quotas.
  • Develop an extensive list of potential prospects.
  • Execute campaigns to turn prospects into qualified leads by email and phone outreach.
  • Conduct product demonstrations via WebEx presentations.
  • Coordinate product evaluation leading to formal service proposal.
  • Develop formal service proposals by potential client requirements.
  • Guide the client through the service options selection process resulting in a License Agreement.
  • Participate in the negotiation process leading to a signed License Agreement.
  • Resolve questions/issues by investigating, drafting responses, and making recommendations to management.
  • Maintain product, professional and technical knowledge.
